Meet Dr. Randall Welser
I am blessed to be involved in orthodontic care. We have an unbelievably talented team that I get to work with each day. We get to witness each patient as their smile blossoms into a healthy, beautiful and confident part of who they are.
Education and Continuing Education
In order to become an orthodontist, I first graduated from Augustana College with honors in 1981. I then attended Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine. In 1985, I graduated from dental school at the top of my class with a DMD degree. Following dental school, I completed my orthodontic specialty training at St. Louis University, graduating in June of 1987.
For the past 23 years, I have strived to keep up with new and emerging orthodontic methods through continuing education courses. I frequently attend courses and webinars to keep up with the many advancements in orthodontic care in order to provide my patients with the best treatments available.
In the Practice
I’ve been helping people with their smiles for the past 23 years, and am truly blessed to have such wonderful patients as friends and neighbors. It is such a priviledge to be allowed to take care of our patients’ smiles. The trust we are shown by our patients is truly amazing.
Our practice is set apart from our competitors by our sheer experience! We have five team members that have been helping to create beautiful smiles even longer than the doctors have! We’re also a lot of fun and love to have a good time. Portable video games are everywhere in our office for kids and siblings. We even have seasonal themes in our office décor that our patients enjoy.
Family Life
During dental school, I married my high school sweetheart, Jolene, in July of 1983. Our first child, Emily, was born August 1987, followed two years later by Bennett and finally two years later by Alec. Raising our family has been my main focus of the last eighteen years. We just celebrated Emily’s new marriage in July 2010, and we welcome our son-in-law, Tom, into the family.
I enjoy spending time with my family, especially my grandson, Roman! I also like gardening, fishing, hunting, hiking, cycling, and skiing when time allows. I love watching sports, especially if my children are playing. I am also actively involved in numerous school, sport, church, and charitable organizations.
