Meet Dr. Lora Marine, DMD, MS
Dr. Lora Marine is an accomplished orthodontist known for her calm demeanor, deep technical expertise, and patient-first approach to care. With experience in both general dentistry and orthodontics, she brings a uniquely well-rounded perspective to her treatment philosophy — one rooted in understanding, education, and transformation.
Raised on a farm in Pike County, Illinois, Dr. Marine graduated as valedictorian of her high school and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Biology from McKendree University, where she was also a student-athlete on the women’s basketball team. She received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine and spent several years practicing as a general dentist in Quincy, IL.
Her passion for orthodontics led her to the University of Illinois-Chicago, where she completed a three-year postgraduate residency, earning both her Master of Science in Oral Sciences and her Specialty Certificate in Orthodontics.
Today, Dr. Marine is proud to offer patients of all ages personalized care with a focus on long-term results, comfort, and clear communication.

Personal Life
While practicing general dentistry, Dr. Marine met her husband Ben, a fellow dental professional. After a few years of long-distance dating, they married and put down roots in the Quad Cities, where Ben now practices general dentistry and they are raising their two daughters, Isabelle and Eliza.
In her free time, Dr. Marine enjoys playing piano and guitar, traveling with her family, and spending time outdoors. As a mom and a clinician, she understands the importance of balancing structure with empathy — both in parenting and in patient care.

Community Involvement
Dr. Marine enjoys being part of the close-knit community of Moline and Geneseo. She regularly participates in patient education events, school visits, and practice outreach efforts.
